Methodology

Cohort aggregates publicly-published MBA employment data into a single, queryable record. We don't scrape, estimate, or infer values. Every number on the site links back to its source — a school's PDF, webpage, or Wayback snapshot — with a page reference and the date we extracted it. Where a school doesn't archive its own historical data, we use credible secondary publications (Poets & Quants, Clear Admit, GMAT Club) that themselves sourced the data from the school's release at the time, and we flag the row so readers can apply their own discount.

We align categories (industries, functions, regions) to the MBA CSEA Standards where possible. School-published labels are preserved verbatim alongside our canonical mapping so per-school detail views show exactly what the school called it. Every chart card on the site carries a citation footer with the source link, provenance tier, and extraction date; hover any badge for a definition. If you spot an error, email contact@cohort.report — we investigate within 5 business days. School representatives can request corrections or removals at the same address; we comply with verified takedown requests within 7 business days.
